Why I created this program

When I first transitioned into a manager, I was perplexed. These were my day-to-day struggles: Steve is following behind on an important project. Did I clearly communicate during our 1:1 that he should really speed up? Should I even take over the project since I can do it faster and better? Jess says she wants a promotion, but I don’t think she is ready. How do I let her know without hurting her feelings? It’s already dark outside after my 7th meeting of the day and I haven’t produced any “real” work for the past few weeks. Am I still doing valuable work? I want to ask my manager for reassurance, but I’m afraid I’ll look incompetent in front of him.

If any of these sound familiar, you are in the right place. Despite the confusion at the beginning, I grew to become an effective and compassionate leader through years of dedicated practice. I discovered my genuine passion for cultivating talent and honed my leadership skills through avid reading, proactive mentorship seeking, and trial and error. Now, I would like to give you a head start on your managerial transition and help you develop your authentic leadership style.

I chose a group coaching format for the following reasons:

  • 80% of initial questions are similar. A group setting will not only answer your questions but also expose you to a variety of situations that you may encounter in the future.

  • To foster a community and support each other throughout our managerial journey, now and beyond.

  • As the group matures, we can have more meaningful discussions and learn from diverse perspectives.
